ST. PETERSBURG, FL.
Mrs. Lilma Fisher Cox died on Monday, September 7, 2009 at the age of 86 at a nursing home in Brandon, Florida.
Lilma was the daughter of Charlie Clem and Mollie Fisher of Autryville, North Carolina. Mrs. Cox was married to the late Cecil Cox of Jonesville, Virginia and together they had three children, Charles C. Cox, Jr. "Sonny" of Dover, Florida, Bobby Ray Cox of Roswell, Georgia, and Helen G. Hutchinson of Weeki Wachee, Florida. She had eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
She resided in St. Petersburg, FL for many years and retired from F.W. Woolworth after 26 years of employment. She was of the Protestant faith and enjoyed her church activities, vacations and family events. Her family and friends will miss her but know that she is in her heavenly home with her many loved ones.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, Sept. 11, 2009 at 12 PM at Mt. Carmel Church of God of Prophecy with Bishop Warren H. Barfield officiating. Burial will follow in Fisher Cemetery.
Her family wishes to thank Hospice for their care and attention during the last weeks of their mother's life. Appreciative wishes are sent to all her nephews and nieces for the calls, cards, letters, visits and love shared with Aunt Lilma during her lifetime and more particularly during her illness. A special thank you for all the assistance and hospitality provided by her nephew and niece, Lonnie and Linda Hall.
