ROSEBORO
Mrs. Lillie Lewis Carroll, 75 of Roseboro, passed away on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at The Carrol S. Roberson Hospice Center in Fayetteville.
She was born on March 30, 1935 in Sampson County to the late Evolyn Neal Lewis and Louise Lewis Hall. She is preceded in death by: her husband, Clayton Carroll; her parents; her step-father, Henry G. Hall; two brothers, Gip Lewis and Jerry Hall; one sister, Mary Etta Tew; and her beloved granddaughter, Georgiana Carroll McLamb.
She is survived by: one son, George Carroll of Roseboro; one daughter, Angela Adams and husband, John of Supply; one brother, "Bud" Lewis and wife, Frances of Autryville; many cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends, Norma Jean Fleming, Phoebe Sandy, Daphne Holland, Hildred Caison, D'arcy King, Rita Owen, her bridge club and birthday club members, and her dear Shirley Owens.
At her request, her dog Sam will be laid to rest with her. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 28, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Roseboro United Methodist Church, Broad Street, Roseboro, with Rev. Bobby Herring and Rev. Bryan Sexton officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the church sanctuary. Burial will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Salemburg.
