ROSEBORO Mr. Lester Smith, 77, of 14133 Hwy 210 S, died June 26, 2013, at Cape Fear Valley Hospital. Funeral services will be at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, June 30, 2013, at Peters Creek Baptist Church with Rev. David Bays and Rev. Larry Hayes officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Smith was born on May 30, 1936, to the late Sidney and Gertrude Bullard Smith. He is also preceded in death by: his wife, Beulah Ann Rich Smith; son, Donald Pope; two sisters, Christene Smith and Linda Smith and his brother, Wiley Smith. He is survived by: his daughter, Deborah Ann Thompson and husband, Michael of Bladenboro; two sons, Dowdy Rich and wife, Linda of Bladenboro and Gary Pope and wife, Kathy of Lumberton; two sisters, Iula Starr of El Paso, TX and Lura Phelps and husband, David of Lakeland, Fl; seven brothers, Rueben Smith and wife, Mildred of Autryville, Earl Smith and wife, Louvenia of Durham, twin brother, Chester Smith of Autryville, Edom Smith and wife, Pat of Lexington, Joe Smith and wife, Janie of Roseboro, Jack Smith and wife, Brenda of Roseboro and Hurley Smith and wife, Betty of Roseboro; 10 grand children and 28 great grand children. The family will receive friends Saturday, June 29, 2013, from 6 to 8 PM at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro. Services entrusted to Butler Funeral Home 401 W Roseboro Street, Roseboro.Funeral services will be at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, June 30, 2013, at Peters Creek Baptist Church with Rev. David Bays and Rev.
