Mrs. Lequita Smith, 62 passed away Friday, July 13, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family.

Funeral service will be held at 3:00pm Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at Stedman Church of God of Prophecy, officiating will be Rev. Donald Baldwin. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Shelby Faircloth Strickland. She was a sponsor of the children's playground at Stedman Church of God of Prophecy.

She is survived by her husband, Gregory Smith of the home; daughter, Brooke Witosky & husband, Mike of Holly Springs; father, Ralph Strickland of Fayetteville; granddaughter, Dare Witosky; sisters, Elnita Horne & husband, Jerry of Stedman and Jo'Leita Evans & husband, Hunter of Fayetteville; brother, Donnie Strickland of Fayetteville; nieces and nephews, Heath Whipple & wife, Kellie of Fayetteville, JW Horne & companion, Yanis Quinonez of Fayetteville, Grey Finger & husband, John of Fayetteville and Hunter Evans, Jr. & wife, Caitlin of Fayetteville; great nieces, Jalea Whipple and Hailey Evans and a great nephew, Aubrey Whipple.

The family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm Monday, July 16, 2018 at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lequita's honor to Stedman Church of God of Prophecy Children's Playground Fund, 5371 NC-210, Stedman, NC 28391.
