AUTRYVILLE Mr. Leon Williams, Jr., 70 of 400 Dewitt Williams Road, died on Tuesday, May 20, 2008 at Carolina Rehab of Fayetteville. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 23, 2008 at Butler Funeral Home at 2:00 P.M. with the Bishop Warren Barfield officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Carmel Church of God of Prophecy Cemetery. Mr. Williams was born in 1938 in Sampson to the late Leon and Mattie Kate Autry Williams. He is preceded in death by a son, Ray Williams. He was a retired Machine Operator with N.C. Department of Transportation. Mr. Williams is survived by: his wife, Louise H. Williams of the home; one daughter, Janice Artrip of Autryville; one son, Allen Williams of Autryville; one step-daughter, Janet Williams of Autryville; one brother, Ranson Autry of Thomasville; special sister-in-law, Julia H. Sessoms of Roseboro; and seven grandchildren. Family will receive friends Thursday evening from 7 until 9 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home, 401 W. Roseboro Street, Roseboro, and other times at the home.
