FAYETTEVILLE
Mr. Lemuel Frank Faircloth, Jr., 86 of 3920 Clinton Road, passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
A private graveside service will be held Thursday. A Celebration of Life will be held at 4:00 pm Sunday at Northwood Temple, Fayetteville, with Dr. John Hedgepeth officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 3:50 pm.
He was born on September 26, 1929 in Columbus County. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lemuel Frank and Ira Batten Faircloth; first wife, Maxine Averitte Faircloth; and sisters, Daisy Stewart, and Sadie Jackson. He loved hunting, fishing, and vegetable gardening. He owned and operated Vander Barber Shop since 1957.
He is survived by his wife, Joan Clark West Faircloth; children, Lemuel Frank Faircloth, III and wife Kay, and Fran Faircloth Harris and husband Jim, all of Stedman; grandchildren, David and Samuel Faircloth; sisters, Joyce Ann Spell of Fayetteville, and Esther Carlisle of Autryville; and brothers, Millard Ray Faircloth of Stedman, and Perry Faircloth of Wade.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Northwood Temple, 4250 Ramsey Street, Fayetteville, NC 28311; or Oak Grove Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, 6535 Oak Grove Church Road, Stedman, NC 28391.
