Stedman Loving son, husband, father, grandfather and Brother, Lemon F. Tew,75 of Stedman passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2013. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Bethany Church of God of Prophecy Cemetery, with the Rev. Jeff Burkhardt and Mr. Sidney Autry officiating. Mr. Tew retired from Big Star Foods in 1988 and from Cumberland County in 1998 at which time he worked in the Electrical Mechanical Department. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed music and outdoor activities. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his loving wife, Della F. Tew of the home; two daughters, Gloria Tate and husband, Clinton of Fayetteville and Tleshia Schoenith and husband, David of Charleston, SC; three sisters, Ernestine Westbrook, Annie Faircloth both of Wade and Brenda Howell of Thomasville, GA; one brother, Tommy Tew of Mooresville, NC; five grandchildren, Elizabeth, Victoria, Aleshia and husband, Michael, Maxton and Josaphina; two great grandsons, Mathais and Elijah. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Deborah L. Tew. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 16, 2013 from 6-8 PM at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman.
