Mr. Lee Roy Norris,, 87 Sr.

ROSEBORO Mr. Lee Roy Norris, Sr., 87 of 107 Autry Highway, Roseboro, died on Thursday, June 14, 2012 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, June 17, 2012 at the Roseboro Church of God with Pastor Joe Friend and Pastor Daniel Gore officiating. Burial will follow at the Johnson Cemetery in the Parkersburg Community. Mr. Norris was born on November 12, 1924 in Sampson County to the late Harmon Junious and Eloise Elizabeth Matthews Norris. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Vallie Barton Norris; and his brothers, Earl, Leonard "Jim", Eugene and Perry Norris. He retired as an Executive Chef and was a US Marine Veteran of WWII. He is survived by: his son, Lee Roy Norris, Jr. of Southport; three daughters, Eloise N. Wright of Holden Beach, Valli N. Johnson of Roseboro and Shirley E. Norris of Maryland; one brother, Richard Norris of Oklahoma; two sisters, Sallie N. Edwards of Oklahoma and Shirley N. Barnes of Burlington; six grandsons, Albert D. D'Ambrosio, Kristofer L. Norris, Daniel L. Smith, Aaron N. Smith, Matthew A. Smith and Garrett P. Johnson; four granddaughters, Michelle E. Williams, Julieanna E. Smith, Stephanie L. Williams and Danyelle J. Johnson; nine great grandchildren and one great-great grandson. The family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro and other times at the home. Services entrusted to Butler Funeral Home, 401 W.
