Mr. Lawrence Bird, 91

FAYETTEVILLE Mr. Lawrence Bird, 91 of Fayetteville, passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville. Lawrence was retired from the United States Air Force. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Mildred Bird and his second wife, Lois Cook Bird; step daughter, Grace Inman; step-son-inlaw, Dean Inman; and his brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, February 9, 2015 at Cumberland Baptist Church, officiating will be Pastor Tim Hardin. Interment with full military honors will follow at Lafayette Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Monday, February 9, 2015 from 1:00 PM-2:00 PM at the church before the service. He is survived by step son, Jimmy Cook and wife, Tracy of Stedman; step daughters, Anne Lewis and husband, Dave of Sanford and Brenda Hall and husband, Dale of Ocean Isle Beach; Numerous Step Grandchildren and numerous Step Great Grandchildren and great great grandchildren; he also leaves to cherish his memory, many friends from Cumberland Baptist Church, Haymount Rehab and Nursing Center, and his special friends Roy and Diane Fields. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Cumberland Baptist Church, 4957 Cumberland Rd., Fayetteville, NC 28306. Arrangements are entrusted to Butler Funeral Home, 6535 Clinton Road, Stedman.Funeral: 2:00 PM, Monday, February 9, 2015 at Cumberland Baptist Church in Fayetteville, officiating will be Pastor Tim Hardin.
