Mrs. Laura Mae Burwash Schark, 83 of Parkton passed away Sunday, April 17, 2016.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman, with the Rev. Rick McAfee officiating. Burial will be held at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Saginaw, MI.

Mrs. Schark was a native of Charleston, SC, the daughter of the late William and Marie S. Geerant Burwash. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John Schark and a daughter, Rose Ann Schark. She was an accountant.

She is survived by three children, Linda Volt of York, SC, Patricia Stech of Michigan and Shelia Lohr of Georgia; four grandsons, Jason Schark, John Schark, Larry Weiss and Gary Weiss all of Robeson County; 22 other grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM at the funeral home.
