Mr. Larry Thomas White,, 71 Sr.

ROSEBORO Mr. Larry Thomas White, Sr., 71 of 117 Tom Cat Lane, died on Monday, September 5, 2011 at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh. The funeral will be held on Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at 3:00 P.M. at Freedom Baptist Church with Rev. Sam Gore officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. White was born on February 24, 1940 in Bladen County to the late Hyram Evans and Lundy Spencer White. He is preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Betty Weston; and three brothers, Livingston White, Dewey White and Hughie Manley White. He was a veteran of the NC National Guard and a retired Truck Driver. He is survived by: his wife, Celestine Royal White of the home; one son, Larry Thomas White, Jr. and wife, Debbie of Roseboro; one daughter, Sherry White Eddy of Clinton; two grandchildren, Aaron Eddy and Caleb Eddy; one step-grandson, Dalton Hall; a brother-in-law, Allen Royal of Roseboro; two brothers, Ronald White and wife, Jean of Autryville and Richard Cary White and wife, Patty of Kinston; and four sisters, Lavinia Mizelle and husband, Kermit of Chadbourn, Phyllis Guill of Fayetteville, Linda McPherson of Ocean Isle and Eleanor Burrow and husband, John of Randleman. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro, and other times at the home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Freedom Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 338, Salemburg, NC 28385. Services entrusted to Butler Funeral Home, 401 W.
