FAYETTEVILLE Mr. Larry Gene Davis, Sr., 65, of Fayetteville passed away at residence on Sunday, December 7, 2014. He was owner/operator of his welding firm. He was born in Cumberland County, the son of the late Vester Davis and Ida Evelyn Shambach. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, December, 10 at Butler Funeral Home Chapel in Stedman with Pastor Michael Lambert officiating. Burial will follow at Stedman Church of God of Prophecy Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. prior to the service. Mr. Davis is survived by his children, Larry Davis, Jr., Adam Davis, Lisa Davis, Laura Davis, Colleen Davis and Erin Davis; brothers, Jerry Davis, Sr. and Michael Davis; grandchildren, Gerald Davis, Jr., Beverly Hall, James Kelly, Kayla Bunce and Katie Davis; great-grandchildren, Brooke Davis and Layla Hale.
