Mrs. Lala Vae "Dae" Butler, 83

AUTRYVILLE Mrs. Lala Vae "Dae" Butler, 83 of 3970 Autry Highway, Autryville, died on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at Sampson Regional Medical Center in Clinton. The funeral service will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at Pleasant Union Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Honeycutt officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Butler was born on October 31, 1930 in Moore County to the late Lewis G. and Nannie Eliza Allen Myrick. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carl Basil Butler; and ten siblings. She was a member of Pleasant Union Baptist Church where she served as Pianist for over 40 years and was a devoted homemaker. Only second to her love for her church was time spent with her family. "Ms. Dae" was always the biggest fan or supporter of any activities in which her children or grandchildren were involved. Through her community support she became a "special Grandma" to many of all ages. During her later years of life, Shirley Freeman and Pat Boyette were her constant caretakers and friends. She is survived by: three daughters, Lou Anna Moore and husband Kenny of Harrells, Kim Fann and husband Chris of Clinton and Laura Harris and husband Bill of Autryville; eleven grandchildren, Gary Mac Herring, Jr. and wife Chasity, Dana Harkness and husband Dave, Carli Herring, Kristy Moore and husband Nick, Kent Moore, Casi Freeman and husband Craig, Savannah Anders and husband Stephen, Stephen Harris and wife Carolin, Miriam Ellis and husband Kyle, Zachary Faircloth and Zanna Faircloth; and six great grandchildren, Emma Grace, Julianna, Edie, Mila, Ryan and Will. The family will receive friends on Tuesday afternoon following the service and other times at her home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pleasant Union Baptist Church, 2300 Pleasant Union Road, Roseboro, NC 28382. Services entrusted to Butler Funeral Home, 401 W.
