Mr. Kinchen Walton Barnes, 83 passed away on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at Golden Years Nursing Home.

A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 29 at Fisher Cemetery with the Pastor DWayne Smith officiating. The family will receive friends after the service in the cemetery.

Mr. Barnes was a native of Cumberland County, the son of Walton Kinchen and Eva Mae Cashwell Barnes. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Kristin Hope Barnes.

He is survived by his wife, Janet Carr Barnes of the home; his daughter, Tracy Barnes Gurganus and husband, Curt of Stedman; three sons, Keith Barnes and wife, Debbie of Stedman; Stephen Barnes and wife, Julie of Petal, MS; and Marc Barnes and wife, Leslie of Winfield, WV; twelve grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Landis Barnes of Durham; and Gene Barnes and wife Bonnie of Rockingham.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Stedman Pentecostal Holiness Church, 432 Hillsboro Street, Stedman, NC 28391.
