Mr. Kenneth Robert Turner

Autryville Mr. Kenneth Robert Turner, 79, of 2024 South River Road, passed away Thursday, July 24, 2008 at the VA Hospital in Fayetteville. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 27, 2008 at 2:00 pm at Butler Funeral Home chapel in Stedman with the Bishop Warren H. Barfield officiating. Burial will follow in the Sandy Horne Cemetery. Mr. Turner was the son of the late James Edward and Kara Vada Stevens Turner. He was an Army veteran, member of the Roseboro American Legion Post 361 and a member of Mt. Carmel Church of God of Prophecy. He worked with Kelly-Springfield in Fayetteville before retiring. Mr. Turner is survived by: wife, Gaydell Turner, of the home; three daughters, Vada Faircloth, of Hampstead, Shirley Fryar, of Clinton and Betty Knittel, of Medina, Ohio; son, Bobby Turner, of Autryville; three sisters, Leona Turner, of Autryville, Rose Smith, of La Jose, PA and Jean Spade, of Marion Center, PA; 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. The family will receieve friends on Saturday night from 7-9 pm at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman.
