SALEMBURG
Reverend Keith Edward Goretzka, 54 of 848 Payton Daniels Road, Salemburg, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 3, 2016.
A celebration of life will be held 3:00 pm Monday, February 8, at Freedom Baptist Church, 2099 Tyndall Bridge Road, Salemburg, with Reverend Daniel Inabinet officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in the Church Cemetery.
He was born February 6, 1961 in Alexandria, Virginia, and is preceded in death by his father, Edward C. Goretzka. He was a US Army Veteran of ten years during Desert Storm and served as a Captain. He served twenty five years in Pastoral Ministry. During his Ministry he served at Northside Baptist Church of Baltimore, MD, First Baptist Church of North Charleston, SC, Parkwood Baptist Church of High Point, NC, First Baptist Church of Edgefield, SC, First Baptist Church of Erwin, NC, and was the current Pastor of Freedom Baptist Church of Salemburg, NC.
He is survived by his wife, Becky W. Goretzka of the home; two children, Edward Raines Goretzka, Kathryn Blair Goretzka, both of the home; his mother, Teresa "Terri" Reynolds Goretzka of Pennsylvania; brother, David Goretzka and wife Stacy of Charleston, SC; sister, Amy Goretzka Williams and husband John of Pennsylvania; and niece, Svea Williams of Pennsylvania.
The visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:45 pm Monday, February 8, in the Fellowship Hall at Freedom Baptist Church, and other times at the home.
