SALEMBURG Ms. Kathleen Holland, 69 of 205 Jones Street, Salemburg, died on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville. The funeral will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at Salemburg Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. William Tew officiating. Burial will follow at the Salemburg Cemetery. Ms. Holland was born on June 20, 1944 in Sampson County to the late James Albert and Lonie Alma Warren Holland. She is preceded in death by: her parents; one son, Jeffrey Lee Parker; and one brother, Ronald Holland. She was a member of Salemburg Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church where she served as Treasurer for 18 years. She was a homemaker. She is survived by: one daughter, Deborah Parker Smith and husband, Jimmy of Roseboro; one son, Michael Parker and wife, Cindy of Roseboro; five sisters, Peggy Lee and husband, Gene of Mt. Olive, Stella McDonald of Salemburg, Ann Eacret and husband, Ben of Salemburg, Faye Howell Turner and husband, Jim of Mt. Olive and Gail Jerson of Salemburg; two brothers, James Leon Holland and wife, Diane of Roseboro and Joe Holland and wife, Carolyn of Salemburg; a sister-in-law, Carolyn Worley Holland of Roseboro; three grandchildren, Carlton Wayne Smith, Kayla Parker and Kelly Parker; and one great grandson, Colton Smith. The family will receive friends on Wednesday afternoon from 1:00 to 1:45 P.M. at Salemburg Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, 180 Old Salemburg Road, Salemburg, and other times at the home.
