Mrs. Karin Tate Jenkins, 38

FAYETTEVILLE Mrs. Karin Tate Jenkins, 38, of Fayetteville, NC passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 25, 2008 at her home after a long illness. Karin was born December 2, 1970 and was a life long resident of Cumberland County. She was the youngest daughter of Michael and Margaret Tate of Fayetteville and was sister to Sarah Nunnery of Fayettteville. Karin graduated from Cape Fear High School, attended East Carolina University and graduated from Fayetteville Technical Community College with a degree in Surveying Technology. She was a Surveyor-in-Training and the office manager for Michael Tate Professional Land Surveyor. Karin is survived by her husband, Lawton Winn Jenkins; their four year old twins, Lawton Walker and Eliza Jane; a sister, Sarah; her parents, Michael and Margaret Tate; her grandmother, Phyllis Thompson; and aunts, uncles and cousins both in the United States and in England. Visitation will be at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman on Sunday, December 28 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at Cedar Creek Baptist Church located on Tabor Church Road, on Monday December 29 at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
