Mrs. Karen Sessoms Poche' of Wade passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2013. She was a retired school teacher for Cumberland County Schools where she taught for thirty years in several different schools. She was born in Cumberland County on December 6, 1950 to the late Paul Sessoms and Mildred Smith Sessoms. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by a sister, Delores Yuille and a brother, Paul MacAllen Sessoms.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 P.M., Friday, December 20 at Butler Funeral Home Chapel in Stedman with Pastor Lynn McLaurin officiating. The family will greet friends at the funeral home from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Friday prior to the service.
Karen is survived by her husband of 42 years, James T. "Ted" Poche' of the home; daughter, Tracey Manire (husband, Shelby) of Wade : son, Jared T. Poche' (wife Linda) of Morrisville; stepson, James Christopher Poche'(wife Ginny) of Raeford; sisters, Helen Sessoms of Autryville, Betty Woody of Louisanna and Frances Faircloth of Autryville; brothers, Bruce Sessoms (wife Billie Sue) of Autryville, Kenneth Sessoms (wife Judy) of Mississippi and Bryon Sessoms of Autryville; grandchildren, Luke, Wade & Karen Adelle Manire and Joseph and Chris Poche'; sister-in-law, Mollie Frances Sessoms and several nieces and nephews.
