Mr. June Douglas Hubbard, 71

STEDMAN Mr. June Douglas Hubbard, 71 of 641 Obershea Lane, died Friday, December 28, 2012 at his residence. The funeral service will be held at 3:00PM on Tuesday,January 1, 2013 at Butler Funeral Home Chapel in Stedman with Rev. Tommy Honeycutt officiating. Burial will follow in Autry- McAlphin Cemetery on Obershea Lane. Mr. Hubbard was born on March 6, 1941 in Cumberland County a son of the late Mitchel and Nancy Averitt Hubbard. Besides his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Fisher Waddell Hubbard; a son, Stancil Edward Hubbard; sister, Louise Honeycutt McPhail; and five brothers, Earl, Marcus, Leonard, Billy and Bonner Hubbard. You would often find "Doug" weekends at Hubbard Pipe & Supply in Fayetteville on his " beloved" forklift moving pipe and products around and keeping everything organized. This was very much appreciated by the staff and customers who knew him. He was close to all his family and each of them will greatly miss him. He is survived by a daughter, Linda Faye Barnhill and husband Mark of Eastover; sons, Kenneth Hubbard and fiance'e, Sharon of Stedman; Roger Hubbard and wife, Christy of Autryville; step-daughters, Elizabeth Oates and Linda Waddell of Raleigh; sisters, Joyce Bridges and Sudie Blanton and husband, Charles of Durham; brothers, Charles Hubbard and Johnny Hubbard of Stedman; five grandchildren, April, Michael, Scott, Robin and Hannah; and two great-grandchildren, Brooke and Adam. The family will receive friends on Tuesday January l, 2013 at the funeral home from 1:45 pm to 2:45 pm. Services entrusted to Butler Funeral Home, 6535 Clinton Road, Stedman, NC.
