FAYETTEVILLE Mr. Julian Street Starling, 88 of 2650 Culbreth Road, Fayetteville, died on Monday, August 11, 2014 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville. The funeral will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, August 15, 2014 at Macedonia Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Lloyd officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors. Mr. Starling was born on September 25, 1925 in Cumberland County to the late John Rob and Betty Parker Starling. He is preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Betty Jane Council Starling. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII and worked as an Electrician. He is survived by three sons, James Starling and wife, Doris, Timothy Starling and wife, Doris and Garrett Starling and wife, Teresa all of Fayetteville; and ten grandchildren, Brandy Briza and husband, Edward, II, Jamie Royster and husband, Robert, Jr., Timothy Matthew Starling, Rebekah Starling, Christopher Gasque, Sabrina Stanley, Kathy, Al, Billy and Jeremiah. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman and other times at the home. Services entrusted to Butler Funeral Home, 6535 Clinton Road, Stedman.The funeral will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, August 15, 2014 at Macedonia Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Lloyd officiating.
