FAYETTEVILLE
Mr. Julian Herbert "Hub" Sessoms, Jr., 72 of 1393 Dunn Road and formerly of Roseboro, died on Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at his home.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, March 9, 2012 at Mill Creek Baptist Church with Rev. David Williams and Mr. Jeffery Sessoms officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Sessoms was born on January 22, 1940 in Sampson County to the late Julian Herbert and Pearl Parker Sessoms, Sr. He is preceded in death by his parents; his step-mother, Alice Baxley Sessoms; and one sister, Clara B. Capps. He was a Veteran of the National Guard and a retired farmer.
He is survived by: one sister, Julia Faye Sessoms of Fayetteville; a nephew, Tony Capps and wife, Phyllis of Roseboro; four step-sisters, Reba Bullard and husband, Charles of Eastover, Virginia Fann and husband, Kenneth of Salemburg, Trudy Miller of Hope Mills and Brenda Spell of Salemburg; and several special nephews, cousins and friends.
The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro and other times at the home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mill Creek Baptist Church, 701 Mill Creek Church Road, Roseboro, N.C. 28382.
