Mrs. Julia Faye Sessoms, 83 went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 9, 2023 at Bethesda Health Care Facility.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at Butler Funeral Home with the Reverend Melinda Ivey, Mr. Jeffery Sessoms and Mr. Dennis Odom officiating. The burial will follow at Mill Creek Baptist Church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 1:50 PM on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at the funeral home prior to the service.

Mrs. Sessoms was a native of Sampson County, the daughter of Julian Herbert Sessoms, Sr., and Lonia Pearl Parker Sessoms. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harrell Corbett Sessoms, Sr.; her son, Harrell Corbett Sessoms, Jr.; four sisters, Clara Bell Capps, Reba Smith Bullard, Brenda Smith Spell and Virginia Smith Fann; her brother, Julian Herbert “Hub” Sessoms, Jr.; and her nephew, Tony Capps.

She leaves to cherish her memory her sister, Trudy Smith Miller of Hope Mills; her daughter-in-law, Lisa B. Sessoms of Eastover; her No. 1 daughter, Charleen B. Wallace (Len) of Eastover; her No. 2 son, Kevin C. Bullard (Annee) of Fayetteville; her granddaughter, Jennifer S. Peyton (Tyler) of Stedman and two brother-in-laws, Charles Cicero Bullard (Edna) of Eastover and Kenneth Fann of Salemburg and numerous nieces and nephews.  Also a special friend, Diane S. Gibson.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Mill Creek Baptist Church Cemetery Fund or American Kidney Association.

The family would like to thank the Bethesda Health Care Facility for all the loving care that they provided to Julia Faye during her time there.
