Mrs. Julia Elizabeth "Lib" Benson, 90

AUTRYVILLE Mrs. Julia Elizabeth "Lib" Benson, 90 formerly of Autryville, passed away Saturday, November 29, 2014 at Bethesda Heath Care Facility in Eastover. The funeral will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at Butler Funeral Home, Roseboro, with Rev. Ricky Spell officiating. Burial will follow at the Daniel Hall Cemetery in Autryville. She was born on July 24, 1924 in Sampson County to the late Percy and Pleasant Hall Autry. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Daniel; son, Josh; and three siblings, Dandrew, Doris and Brewer. Lib was a homemaker and a farmer's wife who worked in the fields every day. She lived her life for the moment and asked for the roses while she lived. She did it her way and she will be missed by many. She is survived by one daughter, Lou Doris Benson of Roseboro; and one brother, Alton Delmore Autry of Autryville. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro and other times at the home of her brother on Delmore Road, Autryville. The family would like to thank the staff at Autumn Wind Assisted Living and Bethesda Health Care Facility for their dedicated services as health care providers over the past years.
