ROSEBORO
Mrs. Julia Lane Hoffman Sessoms, 78 of 320 Maple Street, Roseboro, died on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at the Roseboro First Baptist Church with Rev. Hampton Faircloth and Rev. Roger White officiating. Burial will follow in the Roseboro Cemetery.
Mrs. Sessoms was born on April 25, 1933 in Sampson County to the late George and Emma Turner Lane. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Lacy Vinson and Harvey Hoffman; her son, Jerry Lane Vinson; three brothers, Herbert, Johnny and Henry Lane; and two sisters, Azilee Holland and Nora Williams. She retired as a Lab Technician with Rohm & Haas in Fayetteville. She was a member of the Roseboro First Baptist Church and was a very faithful worker in her church. She was a very special caring and loving person to all.
She is survived by: her husband, Ralph Sessoms of the home; two brothers, Albert Lane and Willie Lane and wife, Clara all of Clinton; and two sisters, Lucille Chestnutt and husband, Larry and Peggy Clifton all of Clinton; four step-children, Kenneth Martin Sessoms of Lumberton, Brenda Diana Hobson, Robert Earl Sessoms and Ralph Milton Sessoms all of Roseboro; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro and other times at the home.
