Mrs. Joyce Bullard Tukiendorf, 81

VIRGINIA Joyce Bullard Tukiendorf, 81 of Colonial Heights, Virginia, passed away on January 20, 2016 in Richmond, Virginia. Born December 12, 1934 in Roseboro, NC, she was a military spouse traveling the world for 27 years as her husband served the US Army, raising four children along the way. After retiring at Fort Lee, Joyce attended nursing school and worked at several nursing homes in the Colonial Heights area. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Piotr Tukiendorf; daughter, Chris T. Bowen; parents, Henry and Maggie Bullard; and 11 brothers and sisters. She is survived by one daughter, Joyce “GiGi” Hall of Roseboro, NC; two sons, David Adams of Richmond, VA, and Eddie Tukiendorf of Chesapeake, VA.; seven grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held at 3:00pm Saturday, January 30, 2016 at Beaver Dam Baptist Church, 4693 Beaver Dam Church Road, Roseboro, NC. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.
