EASTOVER

Mrs. Joyce Collier Thames, 79 of Eastover, passed away Monday, November 2, 2015 at her home.

The funeral will be held 11:00 am Friday, November 6 at Freedom Baptist Church, 2115 Middle Road, Eastover, with Reverend Paul Worley officiating. Interment will follow at Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery.

She was born March 26, 1936 in Cumberland County and was the daughter of the late Lelon and Nellie Collier. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Otis Thames. She was a devoted member of Freedom Baptist Church and worked as a hairdresser.

She is survived by her daughters, Donna Thames Harrelson of Garner, Debra Thames Cain of Eastover, DeAnna Thames of Eastover; grandchildren, Marc Lovick, Michael Lovick, Christi Lovick Jones, Sherrall Godwin, Elizabeth Cain Fergurson; and brothers and sisters, Sam Collier of Stedman, Gary Collier of Araphoe, Ann Autry of Alliance, Helen Autry of Stedman, Ettrice Southerland of Rocky Mount, Frances Bunce of Florida.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 10:45 am Friday, November 6 at Freedom Baptist Church.
