Ms. Joyce Malon (Stewart) Bullock, 79 went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 23, 2022 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at Clement Baptist Church, officiating will be Pastor Scott Keith, Bishop Warren H. Barfield, and Pastor Bryan Strickland.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 6:45 PM Wednesday at the church prior to the service.  The family will receive friends at other times at the home of Greg and Kathy Bullock (3060 Autry Mill Road, Godwin)

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, December 29, 2022 at Minson Williams Cemetery in Autryville.

Joyce was born February 18, 1943 to the late Lattie Malon Stewart and Ida Mae (Faircloth) Stewart.  In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband, Homer “Pete” Conway Bullock; brother, Charles Stewart; sister, Marilyn Stewart Little; and brother-in-law, Jerome Bullock.

Joyce received her Bachelor's Degree from Methodist College, and she received her Master's and Doctorate Degree from Campbell University.  She was a school teacher at Clement School, with over 30 years of service before retiring. She was also a longtime member of Clement Baptist Church.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her sons, Johnny M. Bullock & wife, Heather of Parkton, and Greg C. Bullock & wife, Kathy of Godwin; grandchildren, Jessica Bullock Cook & husband, Chris of Roseboro, Johnny Bullock, Jr. & wife, Amber of Dunn and Caitlin L. Bullock of Parkton; great grandchildren, Conway Cook and Delilah Bullock; cousin and lifetime friend, Beverly Hall; brother-in-law, Wayne Bullock & wife, Tami; sisters-in-law, Sonya Capps and Patsy Stewart; nephew, Rodney Stewart; niece, Monica Holland; her caretaker, Yessica Ortz; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
