STEDMAN Mrs. Joyce Kay Pait Nunnery, 68 of 5419 NC Hwy. 210 S., Stedman, died on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Friday, August 10, 2012 at Butler Funeral Home Chapel in Stedman with Pastor Donald Baldwin officiating. She was born on June 2, 1944 in Bladen County to the late James Rudolph and Irene Dowless Pait. She retired from the VA Medical Center in Fayetteville and was a homemaker. She is survived by: her husband, Alex Nunnery of the home; three daughters, Jo Nell Hartley of Stedman, Misty Roof of Wilmington and Tammy Byrd of Hope Mills; one son, Jeff Singletary of Burgaw; two sisters, Phyllis Counts of Virginia Beach, VA, and Barbara Bodiford of Bladenboro; three brothers, Dennie Pait of Bladenboro, Stewart Pait of White Oak and Rudy Pait of Tar Heel; eight grandchildren, Victoria, Kristy, Alyssa, Megan, Jacob, Kenny, Chase and Bayleigh; and two great grandchildren, Caleb and Dawson. The family will receive on Friday afternoon from 2:00 to 3:00 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Stedman Church of God of Prophecy, 5371 NC Hwy. 210 S., Stedman, NC 28391; or to Cape Fear Hospice, 1830 Owen Drive, Ste. 203, Fayetteville, NC 28304.
