Mr. Joseph Allen Williams, 93 of 12031 Boykin Bridge Road, Roseboro, passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at his home.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, February 29, at Mintz Baptist Church with Dr. Robert Hunter and Dr. John McBride officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Williams was a native of Columbus County, the son of the late Rosier and Louetta Williams. He was a WWII Veteran of the Army National Guard, and retired co-owner and operator of Clinton Appliance and Furniture Company.

He is survived by his wife, Thelma Hood Williams of the home; three daughters, Donna W. Odum and husband Mike of Clinton, Joanna Williams of Kernersville, and Audrey Williams of the home; one son, Claude Allen Williams and wife Lora of Roseboro; step-son, Henry Gavin of Naples, Florida; step-daughter, Debra G. Stokes and husband Melvin of Rosehill; five grandchildren, Michael Odum and wife Carla, Morgan Odum, Ashton Odum, Taylor Odum, and Lauren Williams; one great grandson, Colby Odum; five step-grandchildren, Stephen Gavin, Jarrod Gavin, Douglas Stokes and wife Amanda, Christy Jones and husband Brian, and Jennifer Cole and husband Chris; three step-great grandchildren, Dustin Stokes, Cody Stokes, and Troy Stokes; and the family pet, Precious.

The family will receive friends following the graveside service in the Church Sanctuary.
