Mr. Joseph Bernard Martie, Jr., 89 went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 10, 2022 at Sampson Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Martie was a native of Wadsworth, OH, the son of Joseph B. Martie, Sr. and Anna Kazar Martie. He was preceded in death by his parents’ and son, Steven Martie.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Gail Martie of the home; three children, Joseph Martie, Debra Martie and Lisa Bishop; five grandchildren, Shannon Edwards, David Bishop, Michelle Johnson, Amanda Martie and Elizabeth Griggs; four great-grandchildren, Nathan Johnson, Trent Johnson, Ophelia Nordstrand and Walker Leffler; and his sister, Judith Peffer.
