Joseph "Joe" Lee Cannady

CLINTON

Mr. Joseph "Joe" Lee Cannady, 81 of Clinton, passed away Sunday, October 14, 2018 at Cornerstone Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Dunn.

Joe was born January 17, 1937 in Sampson County and was the son of Willie and Elizabeth Batts Cannady.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Carol Jean Parker Cannady; and one granddaughter.  He worked as a repairman with Sears and retired after 33 years.  He was an Army Veteran.

He is survived by his two sons, Phill Cannady of Roseboro, Lee and wife, Debbie Cannady of Clinton; four grandchildren, five great grandchildren; two step-grandchildren, three step-great grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held at 7:00pm Thursday, October 18, at Mt. Moriah United Methodist Church, 1414 Odom Road, Clinton, with Reverend Andy Wood and Reverend Leonard Henry officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service, other times at the home of his son, Lee, 3137 Parker Memorial Road, Clinton.

Graveside service will be held at 10:00am Friday, October 19, at Parker Family Cemetery, Parker Memorial Road, Clinton.
