Mr. Joseph Britt Blackwell, 68 of Hope Mills went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 5, 2024 at his home.

A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, August 11, 2024 at Stedman Church of God of Prophecy with Reverend Don Baldwin and Reverend Louis Pender officiating.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 2:50 PM on Sunday, August 11, 2024 at the church prior to the service.

Mr. Blackwell was a native of Sampson County, the son of Joseph Franklin and Alma Joyce Edge Blackwell. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Mitchell Blackwell; maternal grandparents, Shelton and Ella Edge; and paternal grandparents, Luke and Gertha Blackwell.

He leaves to cherish his memory his brother, Wayne Blackwell and wife, Lisa; his sister, Janene Hairr and husband, Allen; his sister-in-law, Paula Blackwell; and many nieces and nephews.
