Mr. Johnny Clifton Martin, 70

Mr. Johnny Clifton Martin, 70 of 330 Spell Road, Roseboro, passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at Sampson Regional Medical Center.

The funeral will be held 3:00 pm Sunday, February 14, at Butler Funeral Home, 401 W. Roseboro Street, Roseboro, with Reverend Bryan Strickland officiating. Interment will follow at Butler Cemetery, Autryville.

Mr. Martin was born May 6, 1945 in Sampson County and is preceded in death by his parents, Clifton Worth and Inez Fann Martin; two sisters, Kay Edwards, and Faye Spell; and one brother, Larry Martin. He retired from Erwin Cotton Mill and then worked in home improvement.

He is survived by his wife, Alice Autry Martin of the home; one daughter, Crystal Denise Oakes and husband Donald John Oakes, Jr. of Wilmington; one son, Jeffrey Scott Martin and wife Rhonda Marie Martin of Stedman; four grandchildren, Cody Ryan Martin, Colton Scott Martin, Kaytlin Marie Martin, and Jacob Tyler Oakes; two step-grandchildren, Christy, and Michael; three step-great grandchildren; and one brother, Tony Martin of Godwin.

The visitation will be held from 2:00 to 2:45 pm Sunday, February 14, at Butler Funeral Home, Roseboro.
