Mr. Johnny Robert Beard, Sr., 66 passed away Thursday, December 6, 2018 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center surrounded by his family.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Monday, December 10, 2018 at Stedman Church of God of Prophecy, officiating will be Pastor Jim Dickerson. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm Sunday, December 9, 2018 at the funeral home.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Dennis Earl Beard, Sr. and Sarah Frances Sessoms Beard; brothers, Dennis Earl Beard, Jr. and Norman Calvin Beard.
He was a member of Stedman Church of God of Prophecy and a diehard Carolina Tarheel fan.
He leaves to cherish his memory, wife, Donna Beard; son, Johnny Robert Beard, Jr. & wife, Nikki; sister, Diane Musselwhite & husband, James; brother, Freddie Beard & wife, Sheila; grandchildren, Ashley Rooks, Zackery Beard, Kent Evans and Katelyn Evans; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
