WALLACE Mr. John Malcolm Townsend, 86 of 118 Summeridge Drive, Wallace, died on Monday, July 28, 2014 at Universal Healthcare of Brunswick. The funeral will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at Windsor United Methodist Church with Rev. Jonathan Mills and Dr. Tim Reaves officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Military Honors. Mr. Townsend was born on May 19, 1928 in Delaware County, Indiana, to the late Chester and Zola Pearl Smock Townsend. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He is survived by: his wife, Jean Cain Townsend; four children, Mike Townsend of Denver, Colorado, Keith Hall and wife, Jodi of Clinton, Steve Hall of Anderson, Indiana, and Karen Smith and husband, Kevin of Wallace; one brother, Keith Townsend; six sisters, Jeannie Pike, Susie Norrick, Gladys Parker, Janice Winkle, Sally Nichols and Sharon Hatfield; eight grandchildren, Lane, Jared, Trace, Samantha, Matthew, Jennifer, Cole and Dawson. The family will receive friends on Thursday afternoon from 2:00 to 2:45 P.M. at Windsor United Methodist Church, Hwy. 242, Elizabethtown. Services entrusted to Butler Funeral Home, 401 W. Roseboro Street, Roseboro.The funeral will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at Windsor United Methodist Church with Rev. Jonathan Mills and Dr. Tim Reaves officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Military Honors. The family will receive friends on Thursday afternoon from 2:00 to 2:45 P.M. at Windsor United Methodist Church, Hwy. 242, Elizabethtown.
