Mr. John Leonard Edge, Sr.

ROSEBORO Mr. John Leonard "J.L." Edge, Sr., 75, of 692 Dunn Road, passed away on Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at his home. A funeral service will be held on Thursday night, June 10, 2010 at 7:00 PM at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro with Mr. Terry Carter and Rev. Glenn Morgan officiating. A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 11, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Salemburg. Mr. Edge was born on Dec. 24, 1934 in Sampson County to the late Hilburn Jasper Edge and Irene Harris Edge. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Mary Allena Edge. He was the retired owner and operator of Leonard Edge Auto Sales. Mr. Edge is survived by: son, Leonard Edge, Jr. and wife Roxanne, of Roseboro; brother, Arnold Edge and wife Pat, of Roseboro; granddaughter, Caroline Price and husband Junior, of Clinton; two great-grandchildren, Zachary and Emily Price. The family will receive friends on Thursday night immediately following the service at the funeral home and at other times at the home.
