Mr. John "JD" Dee Tew, 81 passed away Thursday, August 23, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00pm Sunday, August 26, 2018 at Piney Green Baptist Church, 6040 High House Road in Salemburg, officiating will be Pastor Donald Keith Carter. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Blackman Dee Tew and Thelma Williams Tew; and children, Robin Tew, Mary Lynn Tew and Woody Coleman.

He is survived by his wife, Lilly Tew; children, LaDonna Powers & husband, Jeffrey, Shawn Tew & wife, Michelle, Melanie James & husband, Frank, Brooke Tew, Blaire Tew,, John Tew, Jr., Melody Britt & husband, Larry, Vicky Clark & husband, Dave and Myron Coleman; 21 Grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and brothers, Jerry Michael Tew and Johnny Tew & wife, Kay.

The family will receive friends from 2:00pm to 2:50pm Sunday at the church prior to the service.
