Mr. John A. Brock (Johnny), 80, born in Sampson County, passed away on January 4th, 2023.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, January 8, 2023 at Autryville Baptist Church, officiating will be Pastor Tony Hardin and Pastor Ronald Long.  Burial will follow at Brock Johnson Cemetery in Autryville.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Saturday, January 7, 2023 at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman.

“Johnny” was the son of Rans and Cherry Ella Naylor Brock. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters…Cherry and Mannie, and three brothers…Wade, Dick, and Dallas. He was a longtime member of Autryville Baptist Church where he served in many key positions. He was recently awarded the certificate of Deacon Emeritus for his longtime commitment and dedication to serving his church for over 50 years.

Johnny was employed at T&H Brake Service/Carolina Rim and Wheel for more than 47 years where he represented his company, as well as his loyal customers, with that same commitment. He was also a member of The Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons for over 50 years and was awarded the Veteran’s Emblem certificate for his years of service.

Johnny is survived by his wife of 59 years, Linda Brock, his son Tim Brock and wife Teri of Hampstead NC, granddaughter Taylor Hobbs and husband Michael of Wilmington NC, grandson Lucas Brock of Charlotte NC, and great granddaughter Charlotte Paige Hobbs; two brothers Sherwood Brock and Ruth of Fayetteville, and David Brock of Vander.

The Brock family would like to say a special thank you to Bayada Hospice, especially to Jennifer, Keiliah, Pastor Keith, Misty and Maryette, his caretaker, Iona Coleman, and other family members and friends for the loving compassion and care they gave to Johnny and his family.
