Mr. John Irvin Autry, 93

AUTRYVILLE

Mr. John Irvin Autry, 93 of 537 Irvin Road, Autryville, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on April 8, 2018.

The funeral will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, April 14, at Clement Baptist Church, 6175 Maxwell Road, Autryville, with Reverend Dr. James E. Dees, Jr. and Reverend Dr. Brian Autry officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Autry Family Cemetery.

Born August 5, 1924 in Sampson County, he was the son of the late John Love and Lillie Hayes Autry. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Christine Page Autry; and one son, Michael "Mickey" Autry. He was an Army Veteran of WWII and worked as a building contractor.

He is survived by his sons, John D. Autry (Sue) of Louisiana, Johnnie R. Autry of Autryville, Bobby Autry (Julia) of Virginia; Larry W. Autry of Autryville, Robert Autry (Helen) of Autryville; daughter-in-law, Carolyn Autry of Autryville; 16 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00pm Friday, April 13, at Butler Funeral Home, 401 W. Roseboro Street, Roseboro, and other times at the home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made for the Maintenance Fund to Clement Baptist Church, 6175 Maxwell Road, Autryville, NC 28318.
