Mr. John Michael Ake, 63

FAYETTEVILLE

Mr. John Michael Ake, 63 of Fayetteville, passed away Friday, July 6, 2018 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

The funeral service will be held at 4:00pm Sunday, July 8, at Evergreen Baptist Church, 9626 NC Highway 210 S., Autryville, with Rev. Tommy Honeycutt officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00pm - 3:45pm prior to the service.

Mr. Ake was a native of Cumberland County, the son of the late John William and Helen Beal Ake. He was a supervisor with Purolator. He was also the retired Deputy Chief and President of the Board of Directors for the Beaver Dam Fire Department.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Smith Ake of the home; two sons, Jamey Ake and wife, Mackenzie, Jeremy Ake all of Fayetteville; a grandson, Nathan Forrest; sister, Daphne Campbell of Morgantown, WV; and brother, Gary Ake of Stedman.
