Joe “Junior” Pickney Morris, Jr., 99 went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 10, 2021 at Carolina Inn in Fayetteville.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at Oak Grove Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, officiating will be Rev. David Taylor and Rev. Lynn McLaurin.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM. To 8:00 PM Monday, December 13, 2021 at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman.

Joe is preceded in death by his parents, Joe P. Morris, Sr. and Carrie Bell Morris; his wife of 70 years, Claris Morris; daughter, Jo Ann Holloway; sons, Charles Morris and David Ike Morris; brothers, Bernice and Albert Morris; sisters, Saleda Morris Still, and Verna Mae Sandra; and a great granddaughter, Bella Pruitt.

Junior was a longtime member of Oak Grove Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, and was a United States Navy Veteran.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter-in-law, Margie Morris of Stedman; grandchildren, Dawn Vinson & husband, Graham of Fayetteville, Shelly Pruitt & husband, Chris of Eastover, Melissa Fox & husband, Steve of Eastover and Chris Holloway & wife, Felicia of Fayetteville; 9 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Oak Grove Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, 6535 Oak Grove Church Road, Stedman, NC  28391.
