SALEMBURG
Mr. Joe Robert McLamb, 69 of 520 Worley Road, Salemburg, died on Friday, May 4, 2012 at the Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.
The funeral service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Monday, May 7, 2012 at Butler Funeral Home with Rev. W.O. Reiber officiating. Burial will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Salemburg.
Mr. McLamb was born on July 17, 1942 in Sampson County to the late Orson Otis and Lillian Lockerman McLamb. He is preceded in death by his parents; three sisters and three brothers. He had a passion for music and making recordings for numerous people. He was a retired builder.
He is survived by: his wife of 49 years, Gerri Tyndall McLamb of the home; two sons, Jeffrey McLamb of Roseboro and Timmy McLamb of Salemburg; one brother, Mossette McLamb of Roseboro; three sisters, Phyllis Herring of Fayetteville, Annette Davidson of Roseboro and Willette Naylor of Clinton; two grandchildren, Kyle McLamb and Meggie McLamb; and two great grandchildren, Carol and Lacey.
The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro and other times at 4997 N. Salemburg Highway, Salemburg.
