Mrs. Joann J. Maness, 68

STEDMAN Mrs. JoAnn James Maness, 68 of 681 Obershea Lane, died on Sunday, January 24, 2010 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home with Rev. William Maness and Rev. Larry McWhorter officiating. Burial will follow at Autry-McAlphin Cemetery in Stedman. Mrs. Maness was born on October 20, 1941 in Harnett County to the late Willie and Vera Flowers James. She was a retired Cafeteria Worker with Cumberland County Schools. Mrs. Maness is survived by: her husband, Walter Maness of the home; three children, Leonard Maness and wife, Shari of Fayetteville, Ronnie Maness and wife, Betty Jo of Linden, and Carolyn Hutcheson and husband, David of Tullahoma, TN; one sister, Faye Byrd and husband, Fred of Angier; 6 grandchildren, Adam Wayne, Leonard Jr., Felicia, Duane, Laurean and Courtney Leigh; and one great grandson, Trevor. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 7 until 9 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman, and other times at the home. Arrangements by Butler Funeral Home, 6535 Clinton Road, Stedman.
