Mrs. Jo Ann Marie Mcalphin, 81

STEDMAN

Mrs. Jo Ann Marie Horne McAlphin, 81 of Stedman passed away on Friday, March 30, 2018 at her home.

A visitation will be on Tuesday, April 3, at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman from 6:00-7:00 PM, followed by a service at 7:00 PM.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 4 at 12:00pm at Clemmons First Baptist Church in Clemmons, NC by Rev. Scott Hammett officiating. Burial will follow in the Westlawn Gardens of Memory in Clemmons. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:00 AM until 11:45 AM.

Mrs. McAlphin was a native of Sampson County, the daughter of the late Charles Alton and Inez Davis Horne. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert Lindsey McAlphin and a sister, Helen Hunter and two brothers, Tommy Horne and Latha Horne.

Jo Ann loved traveling, gardening and being involved in activities at church. She loved God, her husband, her family and her church.

She is survived by her children, Cheryl McAlphin Harrison and husband, Steve of Goldsboro, Angela Marie McAlphin of the home, Timothy McAlphin of Phoenix, AZ, Pamela Jo McAlphin Murphy and husband, Keith of Yadkinville and Charles Lindsey McAlphin of Charlotte; six grandchildren, Katie McAlphin of Atlanta, Chris Kiger and wife, Amanda, Sarah Kiger and Matthew Haugk all of Winston-Salem, Amanda McAlphin and Morgan McAlphin both of Phoenix, AZ; one sister, Sue Ellen West of Myrtle Beach and one brother, Billy Davis Horne and wife, Faye of Stedman.
