Mr. Jimmy Derral Sims, 76

Fayetteville Mr. Jimmy Derral Sims, 76, of 1906 Blake Street, passed away on Monday, Aug. 16, 2010 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, Aug. 19, 2010 at 11:00 am at Butler Funeral Home Chapel in Stedman with the Rev. Andy Wood officiating. Burial will follow in Hall's United Methodist Church Cemetery. Mr. Sims was a retired seargent first class with the United States Army. Mr. Sims is survived by: companion, Helen F. Sims, of the home; sons, Jimmy Ray Sims, of Columbia, SC, Derrell Jamison Sims, of Bradenton, FL and Mitchell Sims, of California; daughter, Gertrude Louise Gibson, of Orlando, FL; brother, Tody Sims, of Lancaster, SC; sister, Peggy Huffman. The family will receive friends on Wednesday night from 6-8 pm at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman.
