Mr. Jimmy Odell Bunce

FAYETTEVILLE Mr. Jimmy Odell Bunce, 63, of 3572 Murphy Rd. died Tuesday, March 25 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. He was President of Prestige Insurance and Financial Services of Fayetteville which will continue as usual under the leadership of Mrs. Merilee Bunce and Craig Autry. A native of Cumberland County, Jimmy was the son of Lawrence Bunce and the late, Doris Warren Bunce. In addittion to his mother he was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Bunce. Jimmy was a Blue Cross/Blue Shield True Producer and was a member of the National Association of Health Underwriters. He was an active member of Bethany Church of God of Prophecy and served as the leader of "The Good Time Saints" which is a seasoned out-reach senior program. A funeral service will be held at 11:AM, Saturday, March 29 at Bethany Church of God of Prophecy with Pastor Jeff Burkhardt, Pastor Bill Tatum and Pastor Craig Autry officiating. Mr. Bunce is survived by his wife, Merilee of the home; a son, Patrick P. Bunce and wife Michele of Manteo; his father, Lawrence Odell Bunce of Stedman; a sister, Carolyn Stewart of Stedman; a niece, Lorri Jones and husband Mike of Florida; a nephew, Jamie Stewart and wife Jennifer of Elizabethtown; great-nephews, Derek and Jared Jones of Florida and Austin Stewart of Elizabethtown; great-niece, Corrine Stewart of Elizabethtown. The family will receive friends from 6-9 PM, Friday, March 28 at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman.
