Mrs. Jewel Keith Wood, 79

FAYETTEVILLE Mrs. Jewel Keith Wood, 79 of Fayetteville passed away at her home Saturday, March 22. She was a native of Cumberland County, the daughter of the late Hosea Franklin Strickland and Ruth Berline Bunnell Strickland. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Charles D. Wood, Sr. and a son, Charles D. Wood, Jr. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, March 26 at Stedman Church of God of Prophecy with Pastor Don Baldwin officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. She is survived by three sons, David L. Wood of Fayetteville, Donald E. Wood of Fayetteville and Darrell D. Wood of Stedman; three daughters, Edna R. Edwards of Stedman, Wanda L. Teets of Stedman and Darlene W. Wright of Fayetteville; one brother, Ralph Strickland of Fayetteville; twenty-three grandchildren, thirty-two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Tuesday, March 25 at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman. Services entrusted to Butler Funeral Home, 6535 Clinton Rd., Stedman, N.C. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, March 26 at Stedman Church of God of Prophecy with Pastor Don Baldwin officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
