Mrs. Jessie Lee Wengert, 88

TAR HEEL Mrs. Jessie Lee Wengert, 88, of 13313 Highway 87 West, died Tuesday at Sunbridge Nursing Center in Elizabethtown. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:00 P. M. at Butler Funeral Home Chapel in Roseboro with the Rev. Harold Hewett officiating. Burial will follow at Tar Heel Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Wengert was a native of Bladen County, the daughter of the late Edward and Maggie Singletary Grimes. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Wengert is survived by: two sons, John Wengert of Clinton and Robert Wengert of Elizabethtown; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Wednesday night from 7 till 9 P. M. at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ammon Pentecostal Freewill Baptist Church, 3673 Jack Richardson Road, Elizabethtown, NC 28337 or to St. Matthews Pentecostal Holiness Church, 23 Bradshaw Road, Clinton, NC 28328.
