Mrs. Jessie Mae Smith, 83 of Fayetteville passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2020 at the Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

A graveside service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Friday, January 24 at LaFayette Memorial Park in Fayetteville.

Mrs. Smith was a native of Franklin County, NC, the daughter of the late John Alwyn and Margaret Marks Cooper.  She was a retired secretary for the North Carolina State Probation Office.

She is survived by a daughter, Rachel Jackson of Fayetteville; brother, John Cooper of Newton Grove; sister, Louise Goodman of Fayetteville and five grandchildren, Erin Anders, Tiffany Stevens, Ryan Anders, Andrew Jackson and Austin Jackson.
